GUIDELINES FOR ROLE PLAY NIGHT :)
General Principles
Please try to stay in character, if you can. The point is for us to walk in our characters’ shoes for a bit, not have them wear ours. For example, we know Jessica is in love with Hoyt in TB3, so she shouldn’t really attempt to cheat on him with Jason. That said, a little harmless flirting never hurt anyone!
Let’s try to keep everyone included so we all have fun.
No-one is to kill ANYONE! Not even Bill!!! Eric, Pam, this means you!!!
Please don’t change character during play - we need you all!
Please don’t PM the other characters - the PMs are a bit temperamental in Chatzy and you might end up blocking or deleting a vital PM from the moderators asking someone to do something really significant!
Please try to describe your actions for the other players, putting them inside asterisks *wipes brow, opens large bottle of rum*. It helps everyone form a picture of the play in their minds
Most importantly, have fun!
Specific guidelines for RP night
The evening takes place after the end of TB Season 3.
All characters are their TB versions - we will play
Have a pen and paper handy right at the start, as you will be sent an envelope by ‘your’ moderator, containing your objectives and motivations for the evening. Write down what it says (or C&P it into a Word doc or similar) as if the PM disappears, you might forget what you’re meant to be doing! If that does happen, please PM your moderator to ask for it to be sent again. Similarly, if you have a query during the evening, contact your moderator.
Please take a look at your character bio - there are little helpful hints as to who you might be able to work with or against.
The Host for this evening will be Sookie - Please take careful note of what she says - if it’s in CAPITALS she’s describing the action for you; if she says something, she may be giving you a hint or a clue.
Everyone will be asked at the end who they think did it, what they think the motive was, and why they suspect them! If you figure it out sooner, please don’t let on, so that it doesn't spoil things for other people!

Trueblood Character Bio: Eric Northman
Mini bio: Calculating, ruthless, very loyal to those he holds close. Can sometimes let his emotions win. Goes after what he wants with fervour and deals with the consequences as they arise. Is not interested in mainstreaming or appearing to mainstream.
Special Abilities: Flying, can go 6 hours without a break.

Mini Bio: Snarky, Fashion whore, loyal to her maker. Has very little time for humans, especially children. Cares about Eric, shoes and sex. In that order.

Mini Bio: Bemoans his lost humanity, has no problem blaming others for his mistakes. Likes to play Wii golf. Tells people he’s mainstreaming but very rarely drinks Trueblood. Thinks he can make his toxic relationship work if he kills everyone who knows Sookie.
Special Abilities: Voice mimic, making naive young women feel guilty.

Mini Bio: Door mat but has nice abs, good at giving advice but never following it in his own situation. Thinks he can make his toxic relationship work if he works at it and gets Debbie off the V.

Mini Bio: All round nice guy, his staff love him, his customers love him, his family want to use him as a cash cow. Holds a torch for a certain lady but figures fucking her best friend is the closest he’ll ever get.
Special Abilities: Can turn into a complete asshole when mixed with whiskey.

Mini Bio: Straight talking chick that holds a torch for Jason but decides fucking her boss is the answer to her loneliness. Easily suckered in by older female role models and let’s people move into her best friend’s house without asking said friend if it’s okay.
Special Abilities: Can ramp up her lip quivering to 10 on the Richter scale.

Mini Bio: Flamboyant, sponsored by Revlon, he don’t take no shit unless your name is Eric or Pam – then he’s your bitch to play with. Known drug dealer and internet entrepreneur.
Special Abilities: Persuasion.
Solid Alliances: Jason, Sam, Jessica, Tara.
Tenuous Alliances: Eric, Pam, Bill.

Trueblood Character Bio: Jessica Hamby
Mini Bio: Can be whiny, but very sweet. Has a love/hate relationship with her maker, Bill. She doesn’t like him but she knows that she needs him as a young vampire and, as such, has begrudging respect for him. Is very much in love with Hoyt no matter how much of a bitch his Momma is.
Special Abilities: Can cry more blood tears than her maker.
Solid Alliances: Bill, Eric, Pam, Sam, Tara, Lafayette.

Mini Bio: Flamboyant but bad ass, likes to carry his dear departed in a jar, keeps his were-guards in check by feeding them his blood to control them. Believes humans are the cattle that vampires should round up and battery farm.

Mini Bio: Believes God’s holy light will shine and send the demon vampires back to hell. Used to be a vampire sympathiser until she met Steve, then he started ignoring her and she decided that fucking Jason would solve all her problems.
Special Abilities: Causing male fantasies during barbecues.

Mini Bio: TV’s favourite mainstreaming vampire, except she isn’t really mainstreaming – she likes to snack on nubile young women in the back of her limo. Has no qualms about torturing vampires to get what she wants, and all the vampires are aware of what she can do to them if they get on her wrong side.
Special Abilities: Being head bitch in charge

Mini Bio: Petulant, entitled, vain but with a fantastic wardrobe. Has employed Bill Compton as her procurer for the last 30 years and has tasked him with finding her a true Fae so she can get that yacht she’s always yearned for.
Special Abilities: A desire for Bully’s special prize, doing Matrix impressions.

Premiere of Howlin at the Moon

The Premiere of Howlin' at the Moon

Scene: Fangtasia on hallowe’en night. Eric has foolishly permitted Pam to select the theme for this year’s hallowe’en party. She has chosen The Sound of Music.
The DJ is playing Climb Every Mountain and These Are a Few of my Favourite Things and the Karaoke version of the film is playing on a large screen in a corner. Eric has turned the sound off and stamped on the remote control, but unfortunately the little ball still bounces annoyingly from word to word and winsome little curly-headed moppets still dance and sing silently across the screen.
The club is decorated like an Austrian chateau, and the walls are hung with swastikas, crucifixes and Austrian flags.
A dead goat hangs from the ceiling (Pam has not quite got the hang of party décor yet)
Eric is sulking in his booth, dressed (reluctantly) as Captain Von Trapp, a widowed naval officer with seven children. He has flatly refused to wear Lederhosen.
The guests are starting to arrive.
